Before-school Childcare- Breakfast Club

Breakfast Club takes place between 8:00 am and 8:40 am every day.
 
Numbers are limited, so booking is essential. You can make a booking for the whole year, or if spaces allow, you can book for a ‘one off’ session.
 
All bookings are made via Parent Pay in the same way as lunches.
 
Choose the Breakfast Club option in the Make Bookings drop down, click make or view bookings and select the days you wish your child to be booked in by clicking “Book a Session” and save.
 
All bookings MUST be made by 9pm in order for your child to attend Breakfast Club the following day.
 

Breakfast Club – Childcare Support Schemes

Some families may be eligible to use government childcare support schemes to help pay for Breakfast Club. These include:

  • Tax-Free Childcare

  • Childcare for Service Children (Wraparound Childcare Scheme)

Tax-Free Childcare

Tax-Free Childcare allows you to set up an account for your child and receive a government top-up towards childcare costs. For every £8 you pay in, the government adds £2, helping families save up to £2,000 per child per year.

The scheme can be used for approved childcare providers, including:

  • Breakfast Clubs

  • After-School / Wraparound Clubs

  • Holiday Clubs (not currently available at Mawnan)

Childcare for Service Children

The Wraparound Childcare (WAC) scheme supports families where a parent is serving in the Armed Forces by helping with the cost of before- and after-school childcare. It is generally available for children aged 4–11 who live with the serving parent and attend school.

Families must usually have an active Tax-Free Childcare account in order to claim the funding.

How Payments Are Made

Childcare vouchers or payments are usually paid to parents through their employer or childcare account, and parents then transfer the payment to the school’s main bank account.

Please ensure you include your ParentPay reference number when making the payment so we can correctly credit it to your child’s Breakfast or Wraparound Club account on ParentPay.
