Minutes 5th November 2010

.Book Character Day went really well. Everyone had a good time and we raised £55.05 for the polio charity. We had lots of really good stories, poems and pictures for the Jess the Cat competition. Mrs Schofield and some of the school council members judged them this week and the prizes for the best of each year group will be given out today. It was hard to judge as so many were so good. We will be keeping all the stories in a book in the library.

.A short report is to be written of the day, what we did, what went well and what we would change next time.

.The photos are on the wall in the library and some will be added to the Jess Story Book.

.Children In Need on Fri 19th November.  Everyone to dress up in spots, stripes or colours with a £1 donation for the appeal. Sponsor forms  are to be given out to the children for the Stomp and Sing. Mrs Hocking is helping to lead this. We will probably do it in the morning instead of Shared Reading. We will be telling everyone about the day in assembly.

.We talked about starting an initiative to get everyone in the school to keep our school looking neat and tidy all the time. We talked about what to call it and how to reward everyone for being tidy, something similar to the Walk to School or Attendance Cup each week.

.We will do some more events after Christmas.
