Contract: Fixed term for one year 12 hours a week term time only

Working days/hours: Monday & Tuesday (8:45-3:15) with 30 minutes lunch break

Grade: C

Salary: £9.50 per hour

The Governors of Mawnan C of E VA Primary School are seeking to appoint a skilled and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our talented staff team. We are looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking KS2 teaching assistant, ideally with previous experience, who believes that the child’s needs should be at the heart of the learning process and that the curriculum should be creative, engaging and memorable.

The role will include supporting the teaching and learning in our mixed Year 3/Year 4 class as well as working with small groups of children or individuals to ensure all pupils make excellent progress and reach their full potential. 

The successful candidate will need to have:

  •         high expectations of what children can achieve
  •         experience of working with children in the primary range
  •         an ability to develop good relationships with children, colleagues, governors and parents 
  •         a flexible, positive and creative approach
  •         an ability to engage children in learning
  •         a secure subject knowledge and qualified to GCSE level (Grade C or above), or equivalent, in Maths and English.
